This is an exploration of the interaction of minimalistic but strong horizontal and vertical lines with organic abstract art.

This piece stands 5' tall and is cast in a microscopically porous material. Different colored sands and powdered materials have been mixed into the material and has been allowed to age naturally giving it the effect of having aged over thousands of years. Even lichens can be encouraged to grow on the sculpture.

This piece stands almost 7' tall. Cast in the same materials as 'DANCING VITA' it looks as though it was sculpted 2000 years ago.

I have long been fascinated by the concepts of interior design. What if art and furniture can be integrated? What if furniture can be classified as art, and simultaneously be functional? My experimentation with these ideas started in October of 2013. With my good friend and sculptor, Frederich Peens, we are exploring ideas and materials. Watch this space for ongoing designs.
